Introduction
The EdgeVis Client installer (on our Downloads Site) includes all of the following end-user client applications:
EdgeVis Client (for connecting to v8 and v9 EdgeVis Servers)
EdgeVis Local Viewer (for connecting to v8 and v9 encoders)
EdgeVis Media Manager (for playing recordings from a v8 or v9 encoder)
EdgeVis Shield Components (RDC Config)
We have also made the final version of EdgeVis Client v7 available for customers who must support older installations (see the Legacy Downloads Area on our Downloads Site).
Upgrading from older versions
In order to upgrade any of the client applications, the user only requires installing the latest version of the Client installer and all components are upgraded to the latest version at the same time.
Windows minimum system requirements
OS: 64-bit Windows 10 (22H2+) or
Windows 11 (24H2, 23H2, 22H2 Ent/Edu)CPU: Intel i3/i5/i7, Intel Core 5/7/9 or equivalent AMD processor recommended
(Note: ARM processors are not supported)RAM: 8GB (16GB recommended)
Display: Minimum 1280 x 800 screen resolution
Note: We recommend running Windows Update before installing the EdgeVis Client.
