If your encoder is determined as Beyond Economical Repair (BER), there are a few options:

  1. If the encoder is in warranty Digital Barriers will issue a replacement encoder.

  2. If the encoder is out of warranty, you have a few options:

    1. Digital Barriers can return the unit to the customer; the customer must follow the Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations WEEE to dispose of the encoder in a safe manner.

    2. Digital Barriers can dispose of the encoder on the customer’s behalf following the customer’s approval. Digital Barriers is compliant with the Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations 2013, with Producer Registration Number: WEE/GH3638XW. We are a Member of the B2B Compliance scheme (Scheme Approval Number WEE/MP3338PT/SCH), which handles our WEEE obligations on our behalf.

    3. Customer can purchase a replacement encoder by contacting: sales-dbglasgow@digitalbarriers.com for a quotation.
