Encoder name

By default, the system will use the encoder name configured against the user in video vault. However, the device name can be used as the EdgeVis Encoder name. To use this mode, enter the encoder password to use in the “Use device name as encoder name” field. All EdgeVis encoder must use the same password when using this mode.

Enable Audio: Enable audio for any recordings and streaming. Audio needs to be enabled on the streaming profiles as well

Camera

The frames per second and frame size influences battery performance. Higher frames sizes and frame rates will reduce the overall battery performance.

Maximum FPS: The Frames per second to record. This also is the maximum fps the device can stream at

Maximum Width/Height: The maximum size of the video frame. This will be the frame size of the full resolution capability and the maximum frame size the device will stream at

Auto IR: Auto enable the IR lamps and camera when the light drops below a certain level. The IR lamps will affect battery performance

Recording mode: Determines what the device will do when the recording disk is full

Disk full alarm threshold: If the disk fills up, an alarm can be generated to inform a system administrator that the device disk is filling up

Maximum disk quota: Determines how much of the disk to use for recordings.

Show pre-recording indication: Show a pre-recording indicator on the device screen

Pre-recording duration: Device will pre-record for this duration. On pressing the record button the device will store the pre-recording duration to disk. Pre-recording will affect the battery performance of the device.

Leave these settings blank to use the default APN settings of the SIM card.

If setting a custom APN, the Name and APN fields must be set. The name is for information only. The Username and password are optional.
