This document explains how to add a new BW600 software version to VideoVault and how to upgrade BW600 camera software.

Note: The below instructions are also applicable to BW500.

Upgrading BW600 to the latest software version

The steps to upgrade your BW600 cameras to the latest software version through VideoVault are:

  • Download new software version

  • Upload new software version to your VideoVault system.

  • Dock body worn cameras and apply the upgrade.

Downloading New Software Versions

Contact Digital Barriers support to obtain the latest version of the BW600 software. You will be asked to confirm customer details and to confirm the current software version on your BW600 cameras.

Uploading New Software Versions to VideoVault

  1. Contact Digital Barriers support to obtain the latest version of the BW600 software. You will be asked to confirm customer details and to confirm the current software version on your BW600 cameras.

  2. Upload the new software version to your VideoVault server.

    1. Login to VideoVault and go to the Devices Tab.

    2. Select the gear button, then select Device Images.

    3. Select the Import Image button, then upload the new software file and press OK.

    4. The new software version will now be available to use in VideoVault.

Upgrading Body Worn Cameras

Cameras must be connected to VideoVault to allow them to be upgraded:
