How do I check my EdgeVis Server's connection to the licensing server?

Find out where you can see the status.

If, for whatever reason, you wish to check the licensing status of your EdgeVis Server, you can do it by navigating to the "Licence management" settings page.

You can do this by:

  • If there are any issues with your connection, a message will be displayed on the dashboard which includes a hyperlink.

  • Navigating to the "Advanced server settings" via the cog icon in the upper right corner.

  • Typing in "https://SERVERURL/#/settings/licences"

Once there, you will be able to see a status message and make any changes required.

To make any changes to the licensing connection, a user must have the required permission.

How will I know if there is an issue?

When there is an issue with the licensing connection, the system will attempt to alert you in multiple ways:

  • There will be messages on the server dashboard.

  • The "Licences" page will give more detailed information.

  • When encoder licences start failing, the user interface will provide prompts to check the connection or speak to a server administrator.
