Who can access my licensing pool in the licensing portal?

Control who can access your licences.

Updated this week

Introduction

By default, only one person within your organisation has access to the CLS licensing - this will either be the person who requested the licensing pool, or the person named on the purchase order for v9 licences.

You can however, add additional users who can also log in and manage your licensing pool.

Only the primary user can perform user management

The user who was assigned to the licensing pool (when it was created) is the only user who can invite/revoke other users.

Please contact support if you wish to change your organisation's primary user.

Where can I see who can access my licensing pool?

Firstly, log into the licensing portal, then select your pool to manage. This will take you to your licensing pool's dashboard.

Select the Actions ... button, and from the resulting menu select Manage users.
(if you do not see the menu item, you are not the primary user)

This will then list all the users who have access to CLS.

To change the users who can access this licensing pool:

  • For each user you want to add, click the Add user button, then enter the name of the new user.

  • For each user you want to delete, click the Trash icon.

Once you have made all the appropriate changes, hit Save.

What to tell new users

  • They can now attempt to log into to https://licensing.digitalbarriers.com/ where they will have the same licence management features available that you do.

  • If they are already a registered user of the EdgeVis Support site, they should use the same login details there - it is a shared account.

  • If they are not, a new account was automatically created for them - they simply have to set a password for the account by following the reset password procedure.
