This error condition indicates that the RLM TCP Port might be blocked

Possible causes are:

  1. The RLM software management system can’t access the required TCP Ports

    1. Either the ports are blocked on the firewall

    2. Or used by another application

      1. Illustration of configuration interface

  2. Port 9443 (Server Web Management Interface) is closed

  3. The hardware signature of the server machine has changed and caused the issue with licensing.

Solutions:

  1. Open the required Ports

    • If all the ports are active, then in the “RLM.txt” file following entries should be seen:

      • Illustration of configuration interface

  2. Shut down the Network Server and TVI Licensing services.

    • Next check there are no RLM or java processes still running in task manager. If there are other instances running then try killing those before starting the services again.

  3. Generate and send a new license request file

    1. Instructions are as follows:

      1. Log in to your server's Web management interface as an administrator

      2. Navigate to Advanced server settings -> License management

      3. Click 'request a new license'

      4. Check the 'download file' checkbox and then click the submit button

      5. Attach the license request file to your reply.

    2. Once the new license file is received

      • Upload by navigating to Advanced server settings -> License management then select 'upload a new license'.
