A fundamental change between Version 8 and Version 9 is that rather than EdgeVis Servers being individually licensed via a manual process (via our Ops team), you now have a single global pool to access from.
To allow this to be possible, if you are hosting your servers, when you install a new server, you will have to "authorise" that server to allow encoders connected to it to seamlessly grab licenses for their cameras as they require.
How to do this:
Login to the licensing portal: https://licensing.digitalbarriers.com/.

Click "Manage" on the licence pool you wish to manage.
Click the "Add new server" from the "Actions" dropdown menu.
Provide the server with a name for your own identification, and click "Create".
A verification code will then be provided to be inserted into your server (which you can copy). These codes usually expire in 24 hours.
This code can now be inserted into your server
