Where can I download encoder log files?

From the encoders local web interface

Encoder log files may be obtained by navigating to the Logs and Diagnostics page of the encoder's local web interface.

Please use the 'Download all logs' option, as this will download all logs instead of the current log only.

From the encoders local web interface via a Secure Connect channel

If the encoder is on a remote deployment, and you are unable to access the encoders local web interface, it is possible to access it via a Secure Connect channel from EdgeVis Client using the following steps:

  1. Log in to the server's web management interface

  2. Navigate to the encoder's configuration page

  3. Click 'SecureConnect'

  4. Click 'Add Channel'

  5. Enter the following details:

    Direction: Connect To
    IP Address: 127.0.0.1
    Port: 443
    Description: localhost

  6. Click 'Submit'.

You may then access the encoder's local web interface by selecting the channel in EdgeVis Client (Action -> Access SecureConnect channels...), then navigating to the Logs and Diagnostics page of the encoder's local web interface.
